How shared links are measured
When referral tracking is enabled, a shared WeChat link contains a random code identifying the sharing account. It does not contain the learner’s progress link, name, recordings, or WeChat identifier.
We privately record link arrivals and, when you sign in through WeChat, the account that first referred you. We also record whether the linked learner profile saves a word or sentence response afterward. This helps the team understand how families discover the app. It does not change practice or scoring.
A first-party cookie keeps a pending referral for up to seven days. Detailed arrivals are deleted after 90 days; confirmed referral relationships and their first practice milestone remain until deletion. We do not publish rankings, infer WeChat friendships, or automatically message anyone.
To request removal of referral data or disable your sharing code, use Share feedback in Parents. Only the team can view referral reports.
Practice usage
We also retain daily counts of saved word and sentence responses and completed rounds for each learner profile, so the team can understand participation and return visits after older practice history rolls off. These counts contain no recordings or response text and remain until profile data is removed. Only the team can view the aggregate dashboard. You can request removal through Share feedback in Parents.
